In early August, Vietranstimex was approved for operating in providing the services of transporting, loading/unloading, Logistics,… at Thanh Hung Inland Waterway Port located in Long Son commune, Long Son island, which is 13km away from Vung Tau city in the Southwest direction.

Thanh Hung inland waterway port (called as Long Son berth) includes the berth and warehouse area storing materials and goods with an area of about 2,000 square meters. In early August, Long Son berth was officially put into operation, performing the functions of loading, unloading, roll-off STST goods, storage yard for vehicles and equipment. Up to now, the berth has loaded in 4 Boilers of package G of Long Son Petrochemicals project, with each of boiler weighing up to 320 tons.

Long Son (Ba Ria Vung Tau) is the region where some key projects are located, typically, the Southern Vietnam Petrochemical Complex Project with the integrated Gas - Power - Fertilizer complex and the factories supplying fuels (gas, gasoline, oil), energy (electricity), raw materials (steel, glass, ceramic tiles, cement, concrete) for petrochemical refineries.
