On September 10th, 2020, the contract signing ceremony of Quang Tri Wind Power Project’s Equipment Transportation by and between Vietranstimex Multimodal Transport Holding Company (Vietranstimex) and SCI E&C Joint Stock Company (SCI E&C JSC) took place successfully in Hanoi and participated by Mr. Bui Quang Lien – Vietranstimex’s General Director; Mr. Dang Doan Kien - Member of Vietranstimex’s Board of Directors and the representatives of SCI E&C JSC including Mr. Nguyen Cong Hung - Chairman of SCI Group; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc - Chairman of SCI E&C JSC; Mr. Nguyen Cao Hai - Deputy Director of SCI E&C JSC with the witness of other members of Vietranstimex and SCI E&C JSC.
Under the Contract, Vietranstimex will receive and transport the wind power equipment of Renewable Energy Projects in Quang Tri province, including the projects of Huong Phung 2 (Capacity of 20 MW); Huong Phung 3 (Capacity of 30 MW); Gelex 1, 2, 3 (Capacity of 30 MW per unit) and Huong Linh 7,8 (Capacity of 30 MW per unit).
Accordingly, the scope of work undertaken by Vietranstimex includes implementing of customs declaration procedures; Receiving cargoes at port and storing; Transporting equipment to the wind power projects’ sites. The equipment undertaken by Vietranstimex includes 46 turbines (Model E138 EP3 of Enercon) of wind generator and supporting accessories for transportation and installation of the projects that are packed in the containers of 20' and 40'. It is expected that the project implementation period will be executed in the first quarter of 2021.
This signing ceremony has marked a "handshake" between the two "giants" in the field of renewable energy and oversize, overweight load transportation and installation in Vietnam and in the region. This is the proud achievement of Vietranstimex after a period with the efforts and negotiation between the two sides from 2019 until now. This is also the chance to open the potential cooperation between the two sides in the future.
Speaking at the end of the ceremony, Mr. Bui Quang Lien - General Director of Vietranstimex sent his appreciation to SCI E&C JSC for trusting and choosing Vietranstimex to become its partner of this Quang Tri Wind Power Transportation Project. At the same time, he also affirmed that Vietranstimex team would do their best to complete the project with the best results, ensuring the quality and construction progress of the project, to be deserved to the belief of SCI E&C JSC to Vietranstimex. He also expected a long-lasting and successful partnership between Vietranstimex and SCI E&C JSC.
